Cabin U Řeky

The house is situated right at the river Jizera, with a private access to the river, in a picturesque village Mala Skala, also called "The Pearl of the Bohemian Paradise".

There are plenty of castles in the vicinity, two of which are visible from the apartment itself (Frydstejn, Pantheon - Vranov). Bohemian paradise is known for its rock formations (we call them rock - cities) – e. g. Chleviste, parts of which are also visible from the apartment, or famous tourist and mainly climbing location Suche skaly, which yet again can be observed from the apartment.

River Jizera is one of the most sought - after rivers for canoeing, rafting, paddle boarding – so it happens, the very part, that begins at the weir about 150m upstream from us. Continuing through the beautiful meander to Dolanky/Turnov.

The toilets and the bathroom are at the ground level, accessible from the rooms via an outdoor staircase.

Accommodation in the Cabin

Bedrooms and rooms: The building has two rooms and a big balcony (on which you can smoke) on the first floor. On the ground floor there is the toilet and the bathroom.

It shares the land with an old cottage, which is rarely inhabited by one or two people – us, the owners.

Sanitary facilities: There is one toilet, one wash basin, one large shower. There is also a sauna. The aforementioned are on the ground floor, accessible from the rooms via an outdoor staircase.

Heating: The 1st floor is heated by electric accumulation heaters, the ground floor is floor - heated.

Transportation, parking: There is a regular road all the way to the apartment, where you can park your car. An additional car is possible for a small price (see pricing).

Dining

On the 1st floor there is a fully equipped kitchen (except instead of an oven, there is a grill - combined microwave) – then there is a fridge, induction stove, hot water.

Cabin furnishings

On the 1st floor there is a kitchen (specified below), sofa (that can be transformed into a small double bed), dinig table with 4 chairs, a wardrobe, a dresser, a smart TV and a double bed.

Availibility, fees, price specifications

Refundable deposit, paid upon arrival, is 5,000 CZK. Municipality fee is 30 CZK per person per day.

Arrival from 2:00 PM, departure by 11:00 AM – however, I am often flexible, just ask. Unless otherwise agreed, I expect these times.

Price for stays shorter than a week is negotiable. Extended weekends outside the summer season are also negotiable.

A deposit (reservation fee) is 50% of the total price. Please pay the balance no later than the day before the first day of stay, or in cash on the first day of stay. Electricity; 10 kWh per night is included (if no heating is needed, this will almost certainly cover consumption), the rest according to the current rate. I typically turn on water heating in advance and during the heating season, I also turn on the heating so that it is habitable upon arrival.

Cancellation fee for cancellation more than 14 days before the first day of stay is 50%, less than 14 days before the first day of stay, it is 100% of the total price.

Parking space for 1 car behind an automatic gate, 20m from the property. Each additional car for a fee of 300 CZK/day, maximum of 3 cars in total.
